We deliberated extensively on whether to include a negative category - "the worst in the country" - alongside the positive categories of "the best, the biggest, the most beautiful." We approached this decision with great care, hesitating and deliberating numerous times. We understand that anger and hatred do not lead to resolution but perpetuate a cycle of negativity. This is precisely why we were cautious when introducing this category. While it has already been published, we still question whether it was the right choice. Our intention is not to invite individuals driven by hate to visit this platform and cast daily negative votes out of animosity. However, we believe that if there are individuals within Canada who cause harm or perpetuate negative actions, it is crucial to provide a platform for people to express their concerns and enlighten others. Yes, there are individuals who may be deemed "the worst." And if a significant number of votes are cast in this category, perhaps it can serve as a catalyst for change.

The naming of Canada is actually a hilarious linguistic error that stems from a misunderstanding by French explorer Jacques Cartier. When Cartier was discovering the New World, the native people wanted to invite him to their village, which in their language meant "canata". Cartier thought that was the name of the whole country.

Who doesn't know the stories of Winnie the Pooh and his gang from the Hundred Acre Wood. But not many people know that the model for Pooh was a Canadian baribal bear named Winnipeg, or Winnie. This bear was donated to London Zoo in 1915. When young Christopher Milne saw him, he was so excited that he inspired his father, the writer Alan Alexander Milne, to write stories about the good-hearted Winnie-the-Pooh. Whether the real Winnie the Pooh loved honey as much as he did, historical sources don't say 🙂 .
The record lowest temperature in North America was measured in Canada in the Snag, Yukon area. The temperature of 63° Celsius was recorded on February 3, 1947.
Do you know why Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain is depicted on the Canadian $20 bill? It's because Elizabeth II (full name Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor) was the official monarch of Canada from February 6, 1952 to September 8, 2022 (70 years and 214 days). The head of the Canadian government is the Prime Minister. Currently, the Liberal Justin Trudeau holds this imaginary scepter.
